NATALIA PANKOVA was born in the city of Gorky (Nizhny Novgorod) in 1965. Natalya graduated Gorky Art College and Moscow External University for the Humanities, with a Master`s degree in Art History.

She is a Russian artist, art manager, member of the Russian Union of Artists, chairperson of the Executive Committee of the Nizhny Novgorod «Russian Art» Foundation, and Counselor to the Representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia in Nizhny Novgorod.

Natalia Pankova is a painter, who has been twice the honoree of Nizhny Novgorod Award and the New Intelligentsia Award of the Moscow News Publishers and the Culture Award winner of “Person of the Year 2013” held by Delovoy Kvartal Publishing House. Her creative path opened before her in 1988 when she organized her first exhibition in the city's central exhibition hall. It was a youth exposition, and art connoisseurs from both Gorky and Moscow did notice her there. For the first time in Natalya's life her name made newspaper headlines. Her first personal exhibition, held in 1989, was a success. Natalya joined an informal creative association called The Black Pond. The first painting she sold enriched the collection of Chudnovsky, a well-known collector from Saint Petersburg who possessed the best works of Russian artists of the early 20th century (Kandinsky, Malevich, Lentulov and others). This can be regarded as the starting point in her creative life. Since then Natalya has been a constant participator of art events, including The Black Pond expositions in Nizhny Novgorod, Moscow, other Russian cities and Northern Wales. In 1993 Natalya established and headed the Russian Art Foundation. That very year witnessed a great success of her large personal exhibition in Moscow's Central House of Artist. Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Boris Nemtsov was present at that exhibition. Governor Nemtsov rewarded Natalya Pankova with a car in 1994 for her personal merits in the field of art.

She took part in Russian artists' exposition in Barcelona and opened her personal exhibition in Luxembourg in 1994. In 1995 she made a creative journey to Paris on an engagement from French Prime Minister Alain Juppe, followed by a trip to Spain (Barcelona) where she worked for a few months. She never missed the chance of participating in Russian exhibitions. Her personal exhibitions in Moscow and Nizhny Novgorod are now organized each year. Natalya has been a member of the Artists' Union of Russia since 1995. 1996 - participation in Art Manege in Moscow. 1997 - a personal exhibition in the State Art Museum of Nizhny Novgorod and another personal exhibition in the State Institute for Art Study (Moscow). That year she started working on a joint Russian-British art project called The Conversion. On the British side, the project was led and supported by Baroness Smith, member of the House of Lords, and, on the Russian side, by Deputy Prime Minister Boris Nemtsov. The UK Ministry of Defence sponsored the project. Natalya Pankova was the project manager and participator on the Russian side. Eight exhibitions were organized in London between 1998 and 2000, two of which in the Russian Embassy in Great Britain. 1998 - a personal exhibition in the State Institute for Art Study (Moscow). 2000 - an exhibition in the UK Embassy in Moscow and a personal exhibition called The Spanish Collection in Nizhny Novgorod. 2001 - a series of personal exhibitions in Moscow (Embassy of New Zealand in Russia, Embassy of Malaysia in Russia, the Diplomatic Academy of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the State Duma of Russia).

2002 - a visit to Algeria on an engagement from the Algerian Ministry of Culture. Five personal exhibitions brought her a success in Algiers, Annaba, Constantine and Bow-Saada.

2003 — participation in an art conference in Caux, Switzerland.

2001 – 2004 — initiator and manager of “The High Tension” artistic project joining together more than 50 different artists and hosted by Nizhny Novgorod State Museum of Fine Arts and Nizhny Novgorod Exhibition Centre.

2007 – 2011 — a number of foreign art exhibitions in Austria, Hungary, Finland, Italy and China.

2007 – 2008 — “ Colour & Rhythm” solo art exhibitions in Vienna and Budapest.

2008 – 2009 — participation at the Dorotheum Auction (the name of the artist at auction Natalia Pankowa) Vienna. Austria.

2011 — “Play of Colours” solo art exhibition in Rome.

In 2012 – 2013 she was the author and participant of “The Festival of Colours” art project carried out in Vienna, Budapest and Bratislava.

2014 – “Energy of Colours” - two s in Moscow (Embassy of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg in Russia; Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation) and personal exhibition in Luxembourg

2015 -- solo art exhibition “Dream in colors”. Paris. France

The artist’s works have been exhibited in many cities around the world: Vienna, London, Paris, Luxembourg, Rome, Barcelona, Malaga, Budapest, Helsinki, Tampere, Bratislava, Beijing, Algiers, Annaba, Constantine, Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod, Samara, Saransk, Sarov and Cheboksary.

The paintings by Natalia Pankova’s are held in collections of the Nizhny Novgorod State Museum of Fine Arts, the Mordovia State Museum of Fine Arts, the Chuvashia State Fine Arts Museum, the Algerian State Museum of Fine Arts, as well as private collections of Margaret Thatcher, Alain Juppe, Sergey Kirienko, Boris Nemtsov, Irina Khakamada, Alexander Avdeev, Alexander Livshits, Frederik Philips and the great musicians: Mstislav Rostropovich and Galina Vishnevskaya, Yury Bashmet, Vladimir Spivakov.
